If this is what I think it is, its nothing more than Internal passports

When I was mailed my Gold Star ID all I could think of what the Gold Star on the Jewish peoples clothing to identify them to the SS, and the Hitler youth. Of course, I could have taken the other association, and suggest that it is out of respect for our war dead and Gold Star families, unfortunately is comes from the US Government (with heavy UN influence), and is used for evil purposes.
